# bfpeople opens an office in Ayr

Ayrshire has always been a place where industry, ingenuity and community matter.

From its roots in mining, ironworking, textiles, engineering and rail, the region has a proud record of making, building and moving things forward. That heritage remains relevant today – not as nostalgia, but as part of a culture defined by practical capability, resilience and a willingness to adapt.

Today, Ayrshire is home to a varied and evolving economy. Aerospace, engineering and advanced manufacturing sit alongside food and drink, tourism, energy, agritech, life sciences and digital innovation. It is a region with established businesses, ambitious growth companies and organisations facing the familiar challenge of finding, retaining and developing the people who will shape what comes next.

That is why bfpeople is pleased to announce the opening of our new office in Ayr. We have taken an office in Alloway House Business Centre in the heart of the town’s commercial district. This adds to our existing presence in Derby, London, and Glasgow.

## A local base for people and business growth

For more than three decades, bfpeople has worked with organisations to recruit leaders and specialist talent, assess potential and develop the capability of individuals and teams.

Our work has never been about simply filling vacancies. The right appointment can strengthen a leadership team, bring new commercial perspective, create momentum in a growing business or provide the expertise needed to deliver a complex change programme. Equally, investing in the people already in an organisation can make the difference between plans that look good on paper and progress that is sustained in practice.

Opening an office in Ayr gives us a stronger local base from which to work with businesses across Ayrshire and the west of Scotland. It enables more face-to-face conversations with business owners, senior leaders and HR teams. And a closer connection to the local market, its opportunities and its talent.

## More than recruitment

Recruitment is often most effective when it is viewed in its wider business context.

A leadership hire may raise questions about team structure, succession or culture. A period of growth may require a more deliberate approach to attracting technical, commercial or early-career talent. A business experiencing change may need to understand the capability, motivations and potential of its existing people before deciding where to recruit.

bfpeople brings together executive search, recruitment, assessment, leadership development and coaching. This means we can support clients in a way that is proportionate to the challenge: from a focused senior appointment through to a broader talent or people-development programme.

We work with the reality of each organisation, not a generic template. That means taking time to understand the business, the market it operates in, the people already in place and what success needs to look like.

## Supporting Ayrshire’s next chapter

Ayrshire’s industrial story has always been one of change: industries evolve, skills transfer and new opportunities emerge. The region’s current focus on advanced manufacturing, clean growth, food and drink, tourism, connectivity, innovation and skills reflects that same forward-looking mindset.

As businesses develop, the demand for capable leaders, technical specialists and strong teams will only become more important. The opportunity is not just to recruit people with the right experience, but to build organisations where good people can contribute, develop and stay.

Our Ayr office is a practical commitment to being part of that conversation.

Whether you are planning a key appointment, reviewing leadership capability, building a team, developing future talent or simply want an informed conversation about the market, bfpeople is here to help.
