This offers a real career opportunity with a very successful producer of sustainable single-use packaging for the food processing and catering sectors. The company designs and manufacturers injection moulded and thermoformed products in mono-materials and compostable moulded cellulose and is leading the way in product development for sustainable consumption.
In this brand-new position, created to build on a solid business base, you will be responsible for creating and delivering a sales strategy which identifies and secures new opportunities for the group.
Focus is likely to be on large scale food processing and catering sectors, building on existing success. But we are looking for an entrepreneurial approach, an open mind, and a pioneering spirit: someone who can see the possibilities and work with colleagues across this international business to identify opportunities and find solutions to customers problems.
You will need to be self-sufficient and results-oriented, but also a team player, not a lone wolf. You will be well-supported by colleagues – and expected to support others. And while this is a new business sales role, the company is realistic in its expectations – goals and objectives will be agreed as a key part of your plan.
The company is a family-owned group with Private Equity investment. Importantly it is stable, having been in business for more than 30 years, and has ambitions to grow from its current £140m turnover to around £250m in 2025.
This job also presents a genuine career opportunity, the chance to develop into a general manager/sales director role – perhaps taking responsibility for one of the other group companies too. The options are varied, and all based on your contribution to growth and the wider circular economy objectives of the group.
I want to hear from ambitious, problem-solving, salespeople with experience of selling packaging solutions to the food processing and catering or food retail sectors. Some knowledge of injection moulding or thermoforming would be useful. The salary and package will be based on what you can bring to the business – I’m interested in your long-term potential as long as you have the basic experience requirement stated above.
You should be based with reasonable access to the company’s HQ in the Midlands (M6/M42/M1 corridor).
