bfpeople is retained by a truly leading name in high quality orchestral/band instruments to search for a hands-on Territory Manager. We are looking for someone to build great relationships, increase brand awareness and recognition which will ultimately drive additional instrument sales throughout UK and Scandinavia.

The role will require working with new and existing instrument retailers and distributors, as well as with professional musicians, bands and orchestras, ambassadors, educators and influencers in the musical world.

You will have a great deal of autonomy to create a strategy and roadmap for the future which will provide sales growth, increased brand awareness and market share. You’ll also be actively involved in arranging and organising promotional activities to support retail sales and to enhance the brand. You must be able to demonstrate the experience and maturity to deliver results in a competitive industry and a challenging market.

This role requires extensive travel across the UK, Scandinavia and Europe and the nature of the industry means that it is not a typical sales role, and not a 9-5 job.

I’m looking for someone who understands the demands and complexities of working in this environment. You will need to show first-hand experience and knowledge of the music industry, instruments and/or accessories, and musicians – ideally in the band/orchestra arena.

You might currently work for a manufacturer, retailer or distributor – or you might be a well-connected musician with good sales and commercial experience gained in another industry. You will receive extensive, ongoing training and support from the company and the Sales Director.

Clearly, a passion for music is a key requirement – but you should also have the drive and ambition to build a commercial career in this internationally renowned business. The job offers you a real opportunity to drive your own P&L, having real accountability for the success of the brand in your territories.

You will be based from home in the UK.

Salary and bonus will be based on your experience and what you can bring to the job.
