bfpeople is retained by a truly leading name in high quality orchestral/band instruments to search for a hands-on Sales Manager. We are looking for someone to develop sales through musical instrument dealers and retailers throughout UK and Scandinavia.

The role will require building relationships with new and existing retailers, as well as with professional musicians, bands and orchestras, ambassadors, educators and influencers in the musical world.

You will create and execute a sales strategy and roadmap for the territories which will create sales growth, increased brand awareness and market share. You’ll also be actively involved in arranging and organising promotional activities to support retail sales and to enhance the brand. With a high level of responsibility and autonomy, you must be able to demonstrate the experience and maturity to deliver results in a competitive industry and a challenging retail market.

This role requires extensive travel and the nature of the industry means that it is not a typical sales role, and not a 9-5 job.

I’m looking for someone who understands the demands and complexities of working in this environment. You will be an experienced sales or area manager selling musical instruments and accessories – ideally in the band/orchestra arena.

Clearly, a passion for music is a key requirement – but not enough without the sales and commercial experience and knowledge outlined here.

You will be based from home in the UK.
